3. Contract Law
- Where does Contract Law come from?
- Reading a contract and a statute
-Formation of contract and defences to contract formation
-Understanding contracts
- Understanding formal expressions, technical words, archaic terms
- Contract negotiation, general vocabulary needed
- Examination of contract clause
- Structure of a commercial contract

4. Tort Law
- What is Tort?
-What is Tortious Liability
- Main Tort vocabulary and relevance to business
- Understanding and noting case information/case discussion
- The most famous Tort case
-Tort in practise-Lawyer/client interview. Study of correspondencethreatening legal action
- Writing - Replying to a demand letter
