A delegation from the Group of Experts against Trafficking in Human Beings GRETA visits the Barcelona Bar Association

The GRETA delegation was led by its president, Helga Gaver, and the entity's secretary, Daniela Ranalli. The deputy of the ICAB Governing Board responsible for the Corporation's International Action, Rosa Peña, has been in charge of receiving them at the Bar headquarters. 

During the visit, the members of GRETA have been able to visit the Palauet Casades and the magnificent Library of the Bar, one of the most outstanding in Europe at a legal level.

Subsequently, the same delegation has moved to the headquarters of the "Consell de l'Advocacia Catalana" (CICAC), where together with entities from civil society and the Barcelona City Council, they have met to address access to justice of the victims.

GRETA is the Group of Experts in Action against Trafficking in Human Beings responsible for supervising the application of the Convention of the Europe Council on action against trafficking in persons in general.

It should be remembered that the ICAB has a campaign underway to make visible the Corporation's commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations 2030 Agenda, which ensure the formulation of protection policies for the most vulnerable sectors, such as victims of human trafficking.

The SDGs of the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development that are linked to human trafficking are 5 (Gender equality), 8 (decent work and economic growth) and 16 (peace, justice and strong institutions).
